Mud Pie Facial Mask (Dead Sea Mud)
Mud Pie Facial Mask (Dead Sea Mud) The Dead Sea is the deepest salt lake in the world. Its saline content is approximately six-eight times higher than that of the oceans. It is named the Dead Sea because the salt concentration is so significant that plant and animal life cannot be sustained in these waters.
Dead Sea Mud, also known as Black Mud, is a fine, wet mud comprised of the minerals found at the bottom of the Dead Sea. In addition to its noteworthy sodium chloride (salt) content, the Dead Sea is remarkably rich in other minerals including Potassium, Magnesium, Calcium and an array of other essential and trace minerals.Dead Sea Mud helps to gently exfoliate and naturally mineralize the skin. It promotes glowing skin that looks smoother, softer and healthier.
After cleansing, apply this mask to dry face with a brush (or clean fingers) in an even layer. Leave on for 20 minutes and rinse with warm, wet washcloth and using circular motion outward and upward for exfoliation effect. May be used twice a week. Follow with toner and moisturizer.
Don't have 20 minutes for a deep mask but need to exfoliate, no worries!!! After you wash your face, pat dry and apply some of the dead sea mud to your face as you would normally apply the mask. Then slightly dampen your fingers with warm water and massage the dead sea mud gently in small circular motions. Rinse well with warm water and follow with toner and moisturizer. This method can be used three to four times a week.
